Ali Banisadr

Ali Banisadr is an Iranian-born American artist from New York City working primarily with oil painting and printmaking. Originally, from Tehran, Banisadr moved with his family when he was twelve to San Diego, in the United States. He moved to New York in 2000 and received his BFA at the School of Visual Arts, and a MFA at the New York Academy of Art. His work is influenced by his childhood memories of growing up in Tehran during the Iran-Iraq war and the Islamic Revolution.
